Wash & Care Instructions:
For Handpainted and/or kalamkari sarees & Dupattas:
– Strictly NO dry clean on Kalamkari Saree or steam ironing.
– First wash dry clean for Handpainted Sarees and/or Dupatta.
– Gentle hand wash with mild soap/ soapnut (for Kalamkari) / baby shampoo in normal or cold water.
– Post wash, dry in shade only.
– Always iron on the reverse side of Saree / Dupatta.
– Frequent fold changes recommended.
– Kalamkari sarees to be folded from reverse side while storing in muslin cloth to avoid fungal infection.
For non-handpainted Silk Sarees and Dupattas:
– Dry clean or gentle handwash with mild soap / soapnut / baby shampoo / in normal or cold water.
– Always perform patch test before washing.
– Dry cleaning is recommended for resist dye sarees like Ikkats.
– Post wash dry in shade only.
– Storage should be in muslin / mul cotton bags. Plastic bags are not recommended.
– Intermittent fold changes are recommended.
For Cotton Sarees and/or Dupattas:
– First was always soak in salt water before washing.
– Dry clean or gentle handwash with mild soap / soapnut / baby shampoo / in normal or cold water.
– Post wash, dry in shade only.
For handblock sarees and/or Dupattas:
– First was dry clean only.
– Dry clean or gentle handwash with mild soap / soapnut / baby shampoo / in normal or cold water.
– Post wash dry in shade only.
– Frequent fold changes recommended.
